MJ FOSTER PROMISE PROGRAM GIVES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR POSTSECONDARY CREDENTIALS AT LOUISIANA TWO-YEAR COLLEGES » The MJ Foster Promise Program is taking applications for financial assistance to eligible students who enroll at a two-year public college or university, to pursue an associate degree or postsecondary credential for certain high-demand, high-wage occupations aligned with Louisiana’s workforce priorities. The Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA) has partnered with Bossier Parish Community College among other colleges to provide assistance for students in five growing industry sectors; Construction, Healthcare, Information Technology, Manufacturing, and Transportation & Logistics earn industry credentials in several high-value, short-term career fields. This program is open to all Louisiana residents age 21 and over who meet certain eligibility requirements. Funds will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and will serve as a “last dollar” award (non-refund generating). Funds will be distributed to approved students starting July 1st.
